Jyoteeka is the principal teacher at Yoga on the Square. Yoga on the Square is a thriving community of yoga practitioners, teachers and trainees located on New Zealand’s north island.

Jyoteeka has has always had a strong interest in Philosophy, Meditation, and Yoga and brings all levels of students together in a shared love of yoga and community.

Jyoteeka continues to study and practice under senior teachers and the Iyengar family in Pune India, finding joy and meaning each day in the vast subject that is yoga

This retreat is open to everyone and foundation students are welcome to attend.

$1,850 for a private garden bungalow.

Our retreat destination lays on the north East coast. The beaches are black volcanic sand and the water is clear and inviting. Turtles abound in this area and you are sure to see them. Bring your snorkeling gear, or rent from the beach.

Our driver and friend Gede loves to tell you about Balinese culture and the villages we pass though on our way north. With plenty of stops along the way this is always an enjoyable part of our trip together.

We stay in a small sea side village, there is plenty to do between classes. Massages and spa treatments, local family run restaurants are all within an easy walk. A diving center is next door and you can easily arrange a dive.

Included on your trip with Jyoteeka is a visit to the holy springs where you can choose to take part in the ritual blessing.

You can choose to spend a few hours on the water with a local fisherman in an outrigger style boat visiting turtles, snorkel spots and even a small submersed submarine !
