Travel with me !

A road trip from beautiful Bali to incredible Java.

Join a small group of no more than six adventurous women as we travel away from the crowds making our way across the top of Bali and onto Java.

Beaches and snorkeling

Take a boat ride to a small submerged Japanese submarine or snorkel right off the beach to see turtles and coral against the dramatic backdrop of the black volcanic sand beaches.

Have a massage, take a cooking class or just relax in your beachside cottage.

Travel in comfort

With no more than four hours of driving, in our comfortable air-conditioned vehicle per day with plenty of stops along the way.

We are accompanied by our trusted Balinese friend and driver Gede.

Explore Borobudur and surrounding temples.

Borobudur is one of the greatest Buddhist monuments in the world and is a world’s UNESCO site. Dating back to the 8th century this Hindu temple predated the conversion to Buddhism. The temple itself was built by Suryavaman II of the Khmer dynasty who later built Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

In the surrounding area we will also explore other ancient temples that influence Balinese culture to this day.

Beautiful Accommodation

I always prefer great local accommodation over cookie-cutter hotels. We stay at the Hidden Paradise Cottages, Three Brothers or similar, and on Java The Margo Eco Jungle Resort, Adhisthana Hotel, and similar. Always with a private room and always with a beautiful pool to cool off in.

Street view of a colorful building with elaborate wooden carvings and a tower, with people, motorbikes, and a cycle rickshaw in front.

Explore the palace markets and old town before heading off for upmarket cafes and restaurants. Jogja (as it is affectionately known by locals) is a diverse and thriving Sultanate, the last of its kind in Indonesia. Known as the center of Javanese fine arts and culture including the world-renowned shadow puppetry and Javanese ballet.
