Meet Big Sista

Traveling to far away, exotic places has been my own life’s adventure for as long as I can remember. I have hitch-hiked around Australia in the late ’70s, meandered along the Alaskan Marine Highway, ridden the roof of Himalayan buses, haggled with Moroccan carpet sellers, climbed the Great Pyramid in Egypt and sailed felucca on the Nile. Let me share my passion for travel and soft adventure with you.

Among many other roads traveled in life’s big adventure I have spent forty years and more to-ing and fro-ing and living in India.

I am delighted to share my love of travel, for soft adventure and for meeting people to share genuine cultural exchange, with you.

I believe that if you’re enjoying the ride you’re never on the wrong bus.

A keen and passionate advocate for social justice, women and the working class, the people I work with or employ in our host countries, are women in small businesses, cooks, tuk-tuk drivers boatmen and chai wallas. Our trips bring direct benefits to many families that would not otherwise have access to the more traditional tourism market.

I am 65 and have retired from my career in a social justice role and am enjoying the wide open road and all the possibilities life on our pretty blue planet provides.
